Text

1.Beginning July 1, 2015, the department of health and senior services shall provide a courier service to transport collected, donated umbilical cord blood samples to a nonprofit umbilical cord blood bank located in a city not within a county in existence as of August 28, 2014.  The collection sites shall only be those facilities designated and trained by the blood bank in the collection and handling of umbilical cord blood specimens.
2.The department may promulgate rules to implement the provisions of this section.  Any rule or portion of a rule, as that term is defined in section 536.010 , that is created under the authority delegated in this section shall become effective only if it complies with and is subject to all of the provisions of chapter 536 and, if applicable, section 536
