Text

1.  There is hereby established a "State Advisory Council on Emergency Medical Services" which shall consist of no more than twenty-three members, one of which shall be  the chief paramedic of a city not within a county.  The members of the council shall be appointed in accordance with subsection 2 of this section and shall serve terms of four years.  The council members shall annually select a chairperson, along with other officers as the council deems necessary.  The chairperson may appoint subcommittees that include noncouncil members. 2.  Council members shall be appointed as follows:

(1)The director of the department of health and senior services shall make appointments to the council from the recommendations provided by the following:
(a)The statewide professional association
