Text
1.The board of directors of a district shall possess and exercise all of its legislative and executive powers. Within thirty days after the election of the initial directors, the board shall meet. The time and place of the first meeting of the board shall be designated by the county commission. At its first meeting and after each election of new board members the board shall elect a chairman from its members and select a secretary, treasurer and such officers or employees as it deems expedient or necessary for the accomplishment of its corporate objectives. The secretary and treasurer need not be members of the board.
