1.The treasurer of the board of trustees of a library district shall receive and be the custodian of all money belonging to the district from whatever source derived. All funds in the library district derived from local taxation for the library fund and received from the proper city finance officer shall be kept in the city library fund. All funds of the library district derived from local taxation for the library building maintenance and refurnishing fund and received from the proper city finance officer shall be kept in the library building maintenance and refurnishing fund. All funds of the library district derived from state aid or federal grants, other than land, building and furnishing grants, shall be kept in the library operating fund. The board may establish any other funds
