Text

1.  There is hereby established the "Kids' Chance Scholarship Program", to provide scholarships for the children of workers who were seriously injured or died in a work-related accident or occupational disease covered by workers' compensation and compensable pursuant to chapter 287 to attend a college, university or accredited vocational institution of their choice pursuant to the provisions of this section. 2.  The definitions of terms set forth in section 173.205 shall be applicable to such terms as used in this section. 3.  The department of higher education and workforce development shall be the administrative agency for the implementation of the program established by this section, and shall:
