Text
1.There is hereby created and established a retirement system for nonteacher employees of all public school districts, as defined in sections 169.600 to 169.710 , which shall be a body corporate and which shall be known as "The Public Education Employee Retirement System of Missouri". The system shall, by and in its name, sue and be sued, transact all its business, invest all of its funds, and hold all its cash, securities and other property. The system hereby established shall begin operations on the first day of November, 1965.
2.The general administration of and the responsibility for the proper operation of this retirement system and for making effective the provisions of sections 169.600 to 169.710 is hereby vested in the board of trustees for the public school retirement syste
