If the board of a seven-director district at any time deems it necessary for the protection of the school district, by resolution it may require a depositary to deposit additional security, and upon failure to do so within five days after the service of a copy of the resolution upon the depositary the board may proceed to select another depositary in its place in the manner provided herein.
