Text

1.  As used in this section, the following terms mean:

(1)"School board" , the board vested with the government and control of a school district as described in section 162.261 or section 162.471 ;
(2)"School district" , a seven-director school district or an urban school district established in this chapter. 2.  A school board may divide the school district into seven subdistricts or a combination of subdistricts and at-large districts and establish the election of school board members as provided in this section. 3.
(1)A school board desiring to divide a school district as provided in this section shall vote on the question of dividing the district as provided in this section.  Upon the approval of the question by at least four members of the school board, the school board shall
