Text

There may be established for a period of not less than one year nor more than three years within each urban school district with a reported dropout rate in excess of forty percent, an ad hoc committee of thirteen to twenty members on dropout prevention.  The committee shall be composed of school personnel, parents, students and community members.  The committee members shall be selected by the superintendent and president of the school board with input from community organizations, the parent organizations of the district and student organizations of the district.
