Subdivision 1.General administration. Sections80C.01to80C.22shall be administered by the commissioner of commerce. Subd. 2.Confidences and privileges. It is unlawful for the commissioner or any of the commissioner's officers or employees to use for personal benefit any information which is filed with or obtained by the commissioner and which is not generally available to the public. Nothing in sections80C.01to80C.22authorizes the commissioner or any of the commissioner's officers or employees to disclose any confidential information except among themselves or to other administrators or regulatory authorities, or when necessary or appropriate in a proceeding or investigation under sections80C.01to80C.22.
