The term "health plan company" or "health plan companies," when used in Minnesota Statutes or Minnesota Rules, does not apply to an entity that offers, sells, issues, or renews only products expressly excluded from the definition of a health plan under section62A.011, subdivision 3, clauses (1), (4), (8), and (9), except in sections3.7394;62A.021;62J.80;72A.139; and72A.20, or unless otherwise specified.
