Subdivision 1.Fraudulent viatical settlement acts, interference, and participation of convicted felons prohibited.

(a)A person who commits a fraudulent viatical settlement act commits insurance fraud and may be sentenced under section609.611, subdivision 3.
(b)A person shall not knowingly or intentionally interfere with the enforcement of the provisions of sections60A.957to60A.9585or investigations of suspected or actual violations of sections60A.957to60A.9585.
(c)A person in the business of viatical settlements shall not knowingly or intentionally permit any person convicted of a felony involving dishonesty or breach of trust to participate in the business of viatical settlements. Subd. 2.Fraud warning required.
