Subdivision 1.Foreclosure procedure. Subject to subdivision 2, a medical assistance lien may be enforced by the agency that filed it by foreclosure in the manner provided for foreclosure of a judgment lien under chapter550. Subd. 2.Homestead property.

(a)A medical assistance lien may not be enforced against homestead property of the medical assistance recipient or the spouse while it remains the lawful residence of the medical assistance recipient's spouse.
(b)A medical assistance lien remains enforceable as provided in sections514.980to514.985, notwithstanding any law limiting the enforceability of a judgment.
