Text
Such writ shall contain a description of the property, substantially as set forth in the lien statement and shall require the sheriff or other proper officer to attach and safely keep the same, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to satisfy the plaintiff's demand, with such costs, disbursements, and charges as the plaintiff may recover. If the levy be made upon logs or other timber, the marks whereof have been filed with the commissioner of natural resources, the officer shall file for record with the commissioner of natural resources a copy of the writ and of the officer's return thereon, which return shall specify such marks and the quantity attached.
