Subdivision 1.In MSRS; exceptions. All employees of the commission shall be members of the Minnesota State Retirement System with respect to service rendered on or after May 17, 1977, except as provided in this section. Subd. 2.Temporary and part-time employees. Temporary employees hired for a period of less than six months and part-time employees hired to work less than 30 hours per week shall be excluded from membership in the retirement system if the commission certifies them to the executive director of the retirement system as being temporary or part-time employees.
