The council may exercise the authority it had under Minnesota Statutes 2012, sections471A.01to471A.12, for the purposes of fulfilling its wastewater services responsibilities under sections473.501to473.549. The wastewater facilities designed or built under the authority provided by Minnesota Statutes 2012, sections471A.01to471A.12, deemed necessary by the council to accomplish its responsibilities under this chapter must remain under the ownership of the council.
