Text

Subdivision 1.General. The commission shall have all powers necessary or convenient to discharge the duties imposed by law, including but not limited to those specified in this section. Subd. 2.Actions. The commission may sue and be sued, and shall be a public body within the meaning of chapter 562. Subd. 3.Acquisition of property. The commission may acquire by lease, purchase, gift, or devise all necessary right, title, and interest in and to real or personal property deemed necessary to the purposes contemplated by sections473.551to473.599within the limits of the metropolitan area. Subd. 4.Exemption of property. Any real or personal property acquired, owned, leased, controlled, used, or occupied by the commission for any of the purposes of sections473.551to473.599is declared to be ac
