Subdivision 1.Variances; demonstration. The applicant for a variance which, in the opinion of the board of adjustment, may result in a material adverse effect on the environment may be requested by the board to demonstrate the nature and extent of the effect. Subd. 2.Permit; demonstration. The applicant for a conditional use permit which, in the opinion of the planning commission, may result in a material adverse effect on the environment may be requested by the board to demonstrate the nature and extent of the effect.
