Text

If any sheriff or other officer to whom an execution against a delinquent treasurer and the treasurer's sureties is delivered neglects or refuses to execute the same, or neglects or refuses to pay over any money collected thereon, as required in section385.23, the sheriff and the sheriff's sureties shall be liable to the same penalties and proceeded against in the same manner as provided by law in the case of delinquent treasurers.
