To exercise the authority granted to counties under section373.48, Hennepin County may be a limited partner in a partnership, a member of a limited liability company, or a shareholder in a corporation established for the purpose of constructing, acquiring, owning in whole or in part, financing, or operating a facility that generates electricity from wind or solar energy. Liability for Hennepin County is governed by section466.04. Section466.04also governs liability for a limited liability company or a corporation, either of which is wholly owned by Hennepin County and formed under this section.
