Subdivision 1.Discontinuance. Notwithstanding section103C.225, the Ramsey Soil and Water Conservation District is discontinued effective July 1, 2018, and its duties and authorities are transferred to the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners. Subd. 2.Transfer of duties and authorities. The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners has the duties and authorities of a soil and water conservation district. All contracts in effect on the date of the discontinuance of the district to which Ramsey Soil and Water Conservation District is a party remain in force and effect for the period provided in the contracts. The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners shall be substituted for the Ramsey Soil and Water Conservation District as party to the contracts and succeed to the district's rights and duties.
