Subdivision 1.Source. A notarial officer may perform a notarial act authorized by sections358.51to358.76,359.04, and other law. Subd. 2.Limitation. A notarial officer may not perform a notarial act with respect to a record to which the officer or the officer's spouse is a party, or in which either of them has a direct beneficial interest. A notarial act performed in violation of this subdivision is voidable.
