Text

A person who enters Minnesota from another state and who imports or possesses alcoholic beverages in excess of the tax-exempt quantities provided for in section297G.07, subdivision 2, paragraphs (a), (b), and (c), is guilty of a misdemeanor. A person who enters Minnesota from a foreign country who imports or possesses alcoholic beverages on which the excise tax imposed by chapter 297G has not been paid, other than the tax-exempt quantities provided for in section297G.07, subdivision 2, paragraphs (a), (b), and (c), is guilty of a misdemeanor. A peace officer, the commissioner of public safety, and employees designated by the commissioner of public safety may seize alcoholic beverages imported or possessed in violation of this section.
