Subdivision 1.License required. Any custodial engineer employed by a school whose duties include the operation of a boiler shall be licensed pursuant to section326B.978, to operate the particular class of boiler used in the school. Subd. 2.School district training. A school district shall allow to occur annually at least eight hours of training related to boiler operation to a licensee described in subdivision 1. The training must be administered by a licensed first or chief class engineer during the licensee's normal working hours. Two hours of the required training shall occur in the boiler room and must include demonstration of tasks associated with operating boilers.
