Subdivision 1.Expiration of licenses. Unless and until the department or commissioner issues a renewal of a license, the license expires on the expiration date printed on the license. While the license is expired, the licensee cannot perform the activities authorized by the license. Subd. 2.Availability of renewal. A licensee may apply to renew a license no later than two years after the expiration of the license. If the department receives a complete renewal application no later than two years after the expiration of the license, then the department must approve or deny the renewal application within 60 days of receiving the complete renewal application.
