Subdivision 1.Scope. For the purposes of section325F.83, the terms defined in this section have the meanings given them. Subd. 2.Automatic garage door opening system. "Automatic garage door opening system" means a system of devices and equipment that, when connected to a garage door, automatically opens and closes a garage door. Subd. 3.Garage. "Garage" means a building, or a portion of a building, designed or used for the storage, repair, or keeping of a motor vehicle. Subd. 4.Residential building. "Residential building" means a building such as a home or apartment for one or more families or persons that includes an attached or unattached garage. Subd. 5.Automatic reversing requirement.
