Subdivision 1.Scope. For the purposes of sections325E.23to325E.25the terms defined in this section have the meanings given them. Subd. 2.Advertising device. "Advertising device" means any billboard, sign, notice, poster, display emblem or similar item located out of doors which is intended to be viewed by the public from a highway or street and includes any structure used for the display of any such outdoor advertising device. Subd. 3.Business of outdoor advertising. "Business of outdoor advertising" means the business conducted for direct profit through rentals, or other compensation received from the erection or maintenance of advertising devices. Subd. 4.Person. "Person" means an individual, partnership, firm, association, or corporation.
