Text
When a local welfare agency receives a report or otherwise has information indicating that a child who is a client, as defined in section245.91, has been the subject of maltreatment at an agency, facility, or program, as defined in section245.91, the local welfare agency shall, in addition to its other duties under this chapter, immediately inform the ombudsman established under sections245.91to245.97. The commissioner of education shall inform the ombudsman established under sections245.91to245.97of reports regarding a child who is a client, as defined in section245.91, that maltreatment occurred at a school as defined in section120A.05, subdivisions 9, 11, and 13, and chapter 124E.
