Subdivision 1.Definitions.

(a)"Clinical trainee" means a staff person who is qualified under section245I.04, subdivision 6.
(b)"Mental health practitioner" means a staff person who is qualified under section245I.04, subdivision 4.
(c)"Mental health professional" means a staff person who is qualified under section245I.04, subdivision 2. Subd. 2.Generally.
(a)An individual, organization, or government entity providing mental health services to a client under this section must obtain a criminal background study of each staff person or volunteer who is providing direct contact services to a client.
(b)An individual, organization, or government entity providing mental health services to a client under this section must comply with all responsibilities that chapter 245I assigns to a licen
