Subdivision 1.Increased employment.

(a)Until June 30, 2002, medical assistance may be paid for persons who received MFIP or medical assistance for families and children in at least three of six months preceding the month in which the person became ineligible for MFIP or medical assistance, if the ineligibility was due to an increase in hours of employment or employment income or due to the loss of an earned income disregard. In addition, to receive continued assistance under this section, persons who received medical assistance for families and children but did not receive MFIP must have had income less than or equal to the assistance standard for their family size under the state's AFDC plan in effect as of July 16, 1996, increased by three percent effective July 1, 2000, at the time me
