Subdivision 1.Scope.

(a)Subject to federal approval, medical assistance covers medically necessary crisis response services when the services are provided according to the standards in this section.
(b)Subject to federal approval, medical assistance covers medically necessary residential crisis stabilization for adults when the services are provided by an entity licensed under and meeting the standards in section245I.23or an entity with an adult foster care license meeting the standards in this section.
(c)The provider entity must make reasonable and good faith efforts to report individual client outcomes to the commissioner using instruments and protocols approved by the commissioner. Subd. 2.Definitions. For purposes of this section, the following terms have the meanings given them.
