Subdivision 1.Program established. The commissioner of human services shall establish a program to pay the cost of health plan premiums and cost sharing for prescriptions, including co-payments, deductibles, and coinsurance for persons who have contracted human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) to enable them to continue coverage under or enroll in a group or individual health plan. If a person is determined to be eligible under subdivision 2, the commissioner shall pay the health insurance premiums and prescription cost sharing, including co-payments and deductibles required under section256B.0631. The commissioner shall not pay for that portion of a premium that is attributable to other family members or dependents or is paid by the individual's employer. Subd. 2.Eligibility requirements. T
