Subdivision 1.Human services response contingency account. A human services response contingency account is created in the special revenue fund in the state treasury. Money in the human services response contingency account does not cancel and is appropriated to the commissioner of human services for the purposes specified in this section. Subd. 2.Definition. For purposes of this section, "human services response" means activities deemed necessary by the commissioner of human services to respond to emerging or immediate needs related to supporting the health, welfare, or safety of people.
