The commissioner of human services must establish training opportunities for substance use disorder treatment providers under chapters 245F and 245G, and applicable Tribal licenses, to increase knowledge and develop skills to adopt evidence-based and promising practices in substance use disorder treatment programs. Training opportunities must support the transition to American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) standards. Training formats may include self or organizational assessments, virtual modules, one-to-one coaching, self-paced courses, interactive hybrid courses, and in-person courses.
