Subdivision 1.Notifying victim; victim input.

(a)If an individual is committed to the custody of the commissioner for a crime listed in section609.02, subdivision 16, and is eligible for earned incentive release credit, the commissioner must make reasonable efforts to notify the victim that the committed individual is eligible for earned incentive release credit.
(b)Victim input may include:
(1)a summary of victim concerns relative to eligibility of earned incentive release credit;
(2)concerns related to victim safety during the committed individual's term of imprisonment; or
