Subdivision 1.Definitions.

(a)For purposes of this section, the terms defined in this subdivision have the meanings given.
(b)"Correctional fees":
(1)effective August 1, 2029, means fees charged or contracted for by a probation agency or the commissioner of corrections for court-ordered or community-provided correctional services, including but not limited to drug testing, electronic home monitoring, treatment, and programming; and
(2)effective August 1, 2023, through July 31, 2029, include fees for the following correctional services:
(i)community service work placement and supervision;
(ii)restitution collection;
(iii)supervision;
(iv)court-ordered investigations;
(v)any other court-ordered service;
(vi)postprison supervision or other form of release; and
(vii)supervision or
