Text

Any inmate of an adult correctional facility under the control of the commissioner of corrections shall incur co-payment obligations for health care services provided except for mental health services. The co-payment shall be at least $5 per visit to a health care provider. The co-payment will be paid from the inmate account of earnings and other funds, as provided in section243.23, subdivision 3. The funds paid under this subdivision are appropriated to the commissioner of corrections for the delivery of health care services to inmates.
