Subdivision 1.Information to inmate.

(a)Before seeking any consent required by the procedures under sections241.33to241.342, a correctional facility shall inform the inmate that the inmate's blood-borne pathogen test results, without the inmate's name or other uniquely identifying information, shall be reported to the corrections employee if requested and that test results collected under sections241.33to241.342are for medical purposes as set forth in section241.338and may not be used as evidence in any criminal proceedings or civil proceedings, except for procedures under sections144.4171to144.4186.
(b)The correctional facility shall inform the inmate of the insurance protections in section72A.20, subdivision 29.
