Subdivision 1.Application; scope.

(a)A person desiring to operate as a household goods carrier shall file an application with the commissioner on a form the commissioner prescribes. No person shall knowingly make a false or misleading statement in an application.
(b)The commissioner shall issue the permit relating to it to an applicant who has filed an application complying with this subdivision, who has paid the required fee, and who has complied with the financial responsibility requirements in section221.141. The commissioner shall not issue a permit to an applicant who has an unsatisfactory safety rating.
(c)A permit once granted continues in full force and effect until abandoned or unless suspended or revoked, subject to compliance by the permit holder with the applicable provisio
