Subdivision 1.Application. The definitions in chapter 200 and this section apply to this chapter. Subd.

Subd. 3.Candidate.
"Candidate" means an individual who seeks nomination or election to a county, municipal, school district, or other political subdivision office. This definition does not include an individual seeking a judicial office.

Subd. 4a.Committee.
"Committee" means a group established by a candidate of two or more persons working together to support the election of the candidate to a political subdivision office. A committee may accept contributions and make disbursements on behalf of the candidate.
