A person who knowingly provides false information to a public official or employee for the purpose of obtaining or retaining certification as a small targeted group business or a small business located in an economically disadvantaged area under sections16C.16to16C.20,137.31,137.35,161.321, or473.142is guilty of a misdemeanor.
