Text
Subdivision 1.Vehicle platoon plan.
(a)A person may apply to the commissioner for approval of a plan to use a platooning system on freeways and expressways, as defined in section160.02, on the trunk highway system. A platooning system may only be used if a plan has been approved by the commissioner. The commissioner must consult with the commissioner of public safety prior to approving the plan, regarding identifiable public safety concerns.
(b)A plan is valid for one year from the date of issuance, unless the plan is for a shorter period of time, in which case the plan is valid for the shorter time period.
Subd. 2.Required information.
The plan must include but is not limited to the following information submitted in the manner prescribed by the commissioner:
