Subdivision 1.Definition. For purposes of this section, "raw or unfinished forest products" include wood chips, paper, pulp, oriented strand board, laminated strand lumber, hardboard, treated lumber, untreated lumber, or barrel staves. Subd. 1a.Six-axle and over-width vehicle permit.
(a)A road authority may issue an annual permit authorizing a vehicle or combination of vehicles with a total of six or more axles to haul raw or unfinished forest products by the most direct route to the nearest paved highway on any highway with gross weights permitted under sections169.823to169.829and be operated with:
(1)a gross vehicle weight of up to:
(i)90,000 pounds; and
(ii)99,000 pounds during the period set by the commissioner under section169.826, subdivision 1; and
(2)a total outside width of
