Subdivision 1.Peace officer training. The Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training shall include sections169.441to169.448and the enforcement of sections169.443,169.444,169.447, and169.448in the instruction for the professional peace officer education program. The board shall notify the chief law enforcement officer of each law enforcement agency in the state of these sections. Subd. 2.Driver training programs. The commissioner of public safety shall adopt rules requiring a minimum of 30 minutes of thorough instruction concerning section169.444for persons enrolled in driver training programs offered at public, private and parochial schools, and commercial driver training schools.
