Subdivision 1.Identification and signal requirements, generally. For purposes of sections169.441to169.448, school bus means a motor vehicle that is outwardly equipped and identified as a school bus. A motor vehicle that satisfies the identification requirements of this section and the signal equipment requirements of section169.442is considered outwardly equipped and identified as a school bus. Subd. 2. [Repealed,1994 c 647 art 12 s 43] Subd. 2a.Head Start bus; color; identification.

(a)A Head Start bus is exempt from the color requirements of this chapter.
(b)A type A, B, C, or D Head Start bus must bear on its front and rear a plainly visible sign containing the words "Head Start bus" in letters at least eight inches in height. Subd. 3.Sign on bus; application of other law.
