Subdivision 1. MS 2022 [Repealed,2023 c 68 art 6 s 17] Subd. 2.Lessees; information.

(a)The commissioner may not furnish information about motor vehicle lessees under a lease for a term of 180 days or more to any person except:
(1)the owner of the vehicle;
(2)the lessee;
(3)personnel of law enforcement agencies;
(4)trade associations performing a member service under section604.15, subdivision 4a;
(5)licensed dealers in connection with a vehicle sale or lease;
(6)federal, state, and local governmental units; and
(7)at the commissioner's discretion, to persons who use the information to notify lessees of automobile recalls.
