Subdivision 1.Conformity with law. A specific service identified on a specific service sign shall be in conformity with all applicable laws and rules concerning the provisions for public accommodation without regard to race, religion, color, sex or national origin. Subd. 2.Distance to specific service. A specific service sign may be placed on a nonfreeway trunk highway if the specific service is located within 15 miles of the qualifying site. Subd. 3.Motel, restaurant, and resort. Motels, restaurants, and resorts served by the specific service signing shall be licensed by the state Department of Health as required by section157.16.
