Subdivision 1.Perpetuation of corners. Whenever the construction, reconstruction, or maintenance of a public street or highway causes the destruction or obliteration of a public land survey corner marker or monument, the road authority having jurisdiction over the highway or street shall provide for the perpetuation of the corners and placement of corner monuments, corner markers, reference monuments, or witness monuments by a land surveyor licensed under chapter 326. A certificate of location of government corner shall be prepared in accordance with section381.12. Subd.
