Subdivision 1.Enforcement. When the commissioner exercises authority for enforcement, the provisions of sections144.9501to144.9512shall be enforced under the provisions of sections144.989to144.993. Community health boards shall enforce a lead order issued under section144.9504under a local ordinance or as a public health nuisance under chapter 145A. Subd. 2.Discrimination. A person who discriminates against or otherwise sanctions an employee who complains to or cooperates with the assessing agency in administering sections144.9501to144.9512is guilty of a petty misdemeanor.
