Subdivision 1.General. The commissioner of health shall engage in research and data collection activities to measure the prevalence of cannabis flower use and the use of cannabis products, lower-potency hemp edibles, and hemp-derived consumer products in the state by persons under 21 years of age and by persons 21 years of age or older, and the trends in hospital-treated cannabis poisoning and adverse events. In order to collect data, the commissioner may modify existing data collection tools used by the department or other state agencies or may establish one or more new data collection tools. Subd. 2.Statewide assessment; baseline data; updates.
